Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee the district's Student Support Services Department. This full-time position requires a passionate leader who will manage and enhance programs aimed at fostering student success and well-being. The Supervisor will collaborate with educators, administrators, and community partners to create a supportive environment for all students.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of student support programs and services.
- Supervise and collaborate with a team of child study team members, related service providers, nursing staff, counselors, special education teachers, and support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with school administrators to identify student needs and develop strategies for intervention and support.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of student support services, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for staff related to student support and well-being.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations and resources to enhance support services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies pertaining to student support services.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders regarding program progress and outcomes.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss challenges, share best practices, and promote a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in student support services, counseling, or a related area.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Experience with implementation of the special education process, including knowledge of IEPs and related topics.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to student support services.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.
