The Twin Falls School District is seeking a collaborative, knowledgeable, and student-centered Special Education Consulting Teacher to join our team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop a schedule that aligns with the dynamic and multifaceted nature of the position.
Participate in and disseminate professional development opportunities' learning, including courses, conferences, and independent study.
Support teachers in evaluating, selecting, and implementing appropriate instructional materials.
Collaborate with educators to plan instructional programs aligned with students' IEPs/IIPs.
Guide teachers in developing intervention strategies that enhance student outcomes and program effectiveness.
Provide direct support to exceptional students at the request of special education teachers.
Assist in creating customized teacher-made materials tailored to individual student needs.
Partner with the Director of Support Services to monitor and review special education staff’s compliance with federal and state regulations.
Support both general and special educators in addressing the needs of students with disabilities in inclusive settings.
Act as a liaison between school-based staff and support service teams to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
Facilitate and lead in-service training and professional development workshops for all instructional staff.
Collaborate with the Director to plan and deliver targeted training sessions for special education personnel.
Offer consultation and guidance on classroom and behavior management strategies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Director of Support Services.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum

Master’s Degree
Meet state certification requirements for Teacher Leader certification and Special Education (K-12)
Valid Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate Special Education endorsement(s)
Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in special education preferred
Deep understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and inclusive education practices
Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Experience in planning and delivering professional development is a plus
