POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor, this position provides kitchen support for a variety of tasks related to kitchen production and food service responsibilities. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Shift: Minimum 3.0 hours/day on an "on call" basis

Compensation: $13.50 per hour

Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED
Ability to work cooperatively with all employees, students and parents
Punctual and must have an excellent attendance record
Good organizational skills
Knowledge of Health Department Regulations for food safety and sanitation
Must be capable of passing agility testing and basic physical
Ability to bend, twist, reach and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis along with walking, bending and standing for long periods of time and other physical requirements of the job
Ability to push and/or pull loaded carts
Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight time schedules
Must have pleasant demeanor with children and young adults
Ability to take direction from others and follow instruction
Willing to work in any of the schools serviced by STCS Nutrition Services

Major Responsibilities:

Assist and/or operate all kitchen equipment as needed
Assist with food preparation when assigned
Serve during lunch periods
Capable of completing all general kitchen duties efficiently-preparation, meal service, clean up, washing pots and pans, washing dishes and putting stock away
Any other duties which may be assigned
