Job Summary:
The Human Resources Recruitment & Operations Manager supports Shelton School District's Strategic Plan and School Improvement Plans through employee recruitment and retention, public record's requests, and human resource operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in administration, human resources, communications, or other applicable field (preferred, not required).
- The experience, skills, training, and education needed to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Possession of excellent communication skills including active listening, two-way communication, and the use of the appropriate communication channels.
- Possession of leadership skills that allow for positive, effective change in a Human Resources Department.
- Ability and willingness to maintain an upbeat, positive, and collaborative demeanor.
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality and tact in all aspects of employment.

Essential Functions:
- Manage and operate the hiring platform for the District.
- Train hiring managers and support candidates in the use of the hiring platform.
- Actively recruit candidates for open positions including attending job fairs, sending communications, and sharing the positive stories of the District.
- Re-design, implement, and support the teacher intern program for the District.
- Serve as a think-partner, collaborator, and initiative supporter for the Executive Director of Human Resources and the human resources team.
- Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with staff and the community.
- In collaboration with the human resources staff, manage the human resource department operations.
- Design, implement, and oversee the efficient and effective system operations of the Human Resources Department.
- Support the Executive Director of Human Resources through highly complex human resource functions related to employee data used for negotiations.
- Respond to all public record's request in accordance with current statutes and regulations.
- Attend trainings and meetings as appropriate or directed.
- Continue to develop interpersonal and technical skills through professional development and reflection.
- Identify and use appropriate data and metrics to make decisions.
- Use excellent written and oral communications skills to strategically and effectively communicate with staff, candidates, and community members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Posting Information:
This position will begin August 1, 2024. Applications will be accepted through May 5, 2024. Candidates chosen for an interview will be contacted the following week (May 6-10).
Schedule:
260 days per year (September-August); 8 hours a day; M-F with flexibility to work up to 2 days a week from home after first six months of employment.
Salary:
$90,000- $110,000, depending on experience.
FLSA Status:
Exempt
Benefits:
