Reed City High School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our administrative team as an Assistant Principal. This full-time position requires a passionate educator who is committed to fostering a positive learning environment, supporting student success, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and the community. The Assistant Principal will play a key role in implementing educational programs, enhancing school culture, and promoting academic excellence for all students.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school, including the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions to support academic achievement and positive behavior.
- Foster a positive school climate by promoting student engagement, school spirit, and community involvement.
- Address student discipline matters with a proactive, restorative approach in accordance with school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and promote transparency.
- Assist in planning and executing school events, activities, and programs that enhance the educational experience.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with district administration on budgetary and resource allocation matters.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates must hold a valid Michigan Administrator Certificate or be willing to enroll in an approved administrator certification program within six months of employment to obtain a Michigan Administrator Permit.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience; prior administrative experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional best practices, assessment strategies, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and inclusivity within the school community.
- Proficient in the use of educational technology and administrative processes.
