POSITION: Summer Intervention Program Teacher

Grades K-5 ELA & Math Targeted Intervention Teacher (multiple positions)

REPORTS TO: Summer Program Principal

STARTING DATE: July 30, 2025

POSTING CLOSING DATE: April 18, 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:

Has a valid Michigan K-5 elementary teaching certificate
Math Recovery trained
Proficient with literacy diagnostics and identifying next step strategies
Proficient with small group intervention strategies and instruction
Understands diversity of student learning styles and the need for differentiated learning
Possesses good communication skills
Has the ability/experience in working with students of varying academic abilities
Has interest/experience working with students who may qualify as “at-risk”
Computer literate with proven proficiency to effectively apply and integrate technology to support meaningful teaching and successful student learning

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND DURATION:

This two-week opportunity is intended to support students at their developmental level in the areas of Math and ELA. Engaging and fun learning will be provided in a small group setting, allowing students to practice and explore concepts with teacher guidance and support.

· Program consists of two preparation and planning days on July 30-31

· Student instructional days are as follows: August 4-8 and August 11-15

· Staff hours 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (instructional hours 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

PAY RATE: $50 per hour
