Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Occupational Therapist to join our team at Park Rapids District. This full-time position involves working collaboratively with students, families, and staff to promote the development of skills necessary for daily living and academic success. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs through therapeutic interventions and support.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' occupational performance and identify their needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and objectives tailored to each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in various settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and community environments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an integrated support system for students.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate and train staff and families on strategies to support students' functional abilities and participation in daily activities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy through ongoing professional development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Advocate for the needs of students and promote awareness of occupational therapy within the school community.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using technology and software for documentation and communication purposes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current trends in occupational therapy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
