Reports To: Building Principal

SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Principal, the Parchment School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher for High School Science. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting students in Chemistry and Physics. The candidate will promote a high quality, personalized education program that reflects the Michigan Content Standards for the Sciences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Michigan teaching license or substitute certificate
Preferred Endorsements:
- Science (DX or DI)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate instruction in Chemistry and Physics to high school students.
Follow existing curriculum and adapt lesson plans as needed.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies.
Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and staff.
Participate in school meetings and professional collaboration as needed.
