Overview:

New Trier High School is seeking a full-time Technology Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will involve teaching courses related to experience and department need, which may include Engineering, Coding and Woodworking courses.

Qualifications:

A valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License or Educator License with Stipulations - Career and Technical Educator with appropriate endorsements
Technology Education Endorsement required
Teaching experience in engineering, woodworking and coding preferred
Understanding of educational theory and practice
Commitment to ongoing professional development and program development
Commitment to collaboration
Plans lessons and prepares instructional materials
Demonstrates a variety of effective teaching techniques
Provides purposeful classroom activity
Addresses the needs of individual students
Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with staff
