Position Title: Classroom Interventionist

Available: 2024/2025 Academic Year

Duration: December 2024 – June 2025; Grant Funded Position

Rate: Hourly Rate for certified teacher: $31.21

Hourly Rate for a paraprofessional: $18.63

25-29 hours/week, Part Time

Minimum Requirements:

Associates Degree OR 60 completed credit hours OR achieved minimum ETS Paraprofessional Assessment score of 460

Preferred:

Bilingual (Spanish) Speaker

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist the classroom teacher with instructional tasks, including setting up activities, preparing materials and supporting lesson plans.

2. Provide individual and small group support to students who need additional help.

3. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch and other school functions.

4. Help manage classroom behavior by modeling and reinforcing classroom policies and procedures.

5. Collaborates with teachers and other instructional staff to support the implementation of best classroom instructional practices.

6. Assist with personal care services.

7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively.

Experience working with children.

Basic understanding of classroom management and instruction.
