Position Type: Act 93 Administrator - Exempt - 12 months

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in communication including extensive experience in media relations, organizational communication,strategic communication, and crisis communication.
Experience in K-12 schools preferred, not required.
Experience in marketing, relationship development.
Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively with all members of the school community.
Must be able to travel throughout the District.

Additional Information: The Manheim Township School District is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Communications and Marketing. This position is responsible for media relations, marketing efforts, and the overall planning and executing the internal and external communication/public relations strategies and programs that result in increased awareness, understanding and support for the district's vision and goals. The individual will work closely with the Superintendent’s Office and the District’s Cabinet and Leadership Team to clearly articulate and communicate districtwide and building-level communications, issues, and program highlights. This individual is responsible for collaborating with all external and internal resources to support implementation of the district's communication strategic plan. Collaborates and provides support and services to the Superintendent to build community and parent support. Position requires a high degree of confidentiality.
