Position Description

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a ASE 6-12 Lead. This role is crucial in ensuring the success and well-being of our students by fostering engagement and providing necessary support to students and families. The ASE 6-12 Lead will work closely with school staff, families, and community partners to develop strategies and interventions to support students and families through facilitating and/or coordinating engagement and academic interventions and strategies. Works within the Student Support Team (SST) and collaborates with SST Director. Direct Supervision is with the Secondary Principal.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. Masters degree preferred.
Experience working with middle school, high school and adult learner students and families, preferably in an educational or youth services setting.
Experience with working in intervention in an education setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, restorative justice principles, and evidence-based interventions for promoting student engagement and academic success.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis, with a commitment to using data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Duties

Lead ASE 6-12 Team: Create weekly agendas for and facilitate weekly team huddles. Attend SST monthly meetings and Student Intervention Team (SIT) Lead meetings as scheduled. Collaborate with SST Coordinator and PACE group to develop team programming and staff trainings as needed.
Manage ASE 6-12 Referrals: Monitor and manage referrals from staff. Identify gaps in services to engage more students in support as needed.
Weekly Meetings with Families of Disengaged Students: Conduct regular Tier 2 meetings with families of students who are disengaged or at risk of disengagement. Build strong relationships with families to understand their concerns and collaboratively develop solutions to support their child's success. The goal will be to schedule 40 family meetings weekly to focus on engagement strategies.
Offering Tiered Supports: Implement tiered supports for students based on their individual needs and level of disengagement and/or academic support needs. Provide direct support and interventions, as well as facilitate access to additional resources and services within the school and community. Monitor, facilitate and manage services in collaboration with ASE 6-12 Team members and Principal.
Follow-Up on Submitting Truancy: Monitor and follow up on instances of truancy or absenteeism. Work closely with Safety, Behavioral and Wellness (SBW) Team, school administrators, teachers, and families to address underlying issues contributing to absenteeism and ensure compliance with attendance policies.
Create a plan of action for Disengaged Students: Develop individualized plans for disengaged students in collaboration with SST, mentors, teachers, counselors, and families. These plans should outline specific interventions, goals, and timelines to support students in re-engaging with their education. This would include creating an educational development plan and keeping it updated.
Reporting: This role would report monthly to administration on the status of disengaged students. ASE Lead will meet regularly with the SST Director for direction and guidance. Will meet with the Principal for evaluations and high level supervision.
Data Collection and Data-Driven Decisions: Collect and analyze data related to student engagement, attendance, and academic performance. Use data to identify trends, monitor progress, and make informed decisions about interventions and strategies to support student success.

Carry out other duties and obligations that are determined to facilitate the school’s mission, goals, standards, and Education Program

Must be able to stand for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time

Must be able to move throughout the Learning Lab, if applicable
Must be able to sit in chair for long intervals
