Summary
The GSRP Assistant Classroom Teacher at Marshall Academy plays a vital role in supporting the educational development of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to implement lesson plans, facilitate classroom activities, and support the individual needs of students.

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Support the daily operations of the classroom, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources, maintaining an organized and inviting learning space.
- Assist in the supervision of students during indoor and outdoor activities, including recess and field trips.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education.
- Adhere to all policies and regulations set forth by Marshall Academy and state guidelines.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; an associate degree or relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
- Familiarity with GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) guidelines and requirements is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Must pass background checks and meet health requirements as mandated by state law.
