Director of Curriculum & Instruction

Position Available: August 1, 2025

The Manasquan School District is seeking a school administrator to direct the planning, delivery, assessment, and ongoing improvement of curriculum and instruction programs of the District.

Qualifications:

Valid NJ Administrative Certificate (or certificate of eligibility) with Principal or School Administrator endorsement.
Demonstrated leadership capability.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Prior school administrative experience preferred.

Major Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Directs district-wide curriculum, instruction, assessment, staff development, and staff evaluation programs.
Oversees all NJ standardized testing programs.
Evaluates certificated and non-certificated staff.
Ensures curriculum compliance with state statues, regulations, Board of Education policies, and best practices. Designs and implements a curriculum evaluation and revision cycle and supervises all curriculum writing and revision.
Analyzes student performance data, compiles reports, and makes presentations on student achievement.
Serves as liaison to the Board of Education’s curriculum committee.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.

Terms of Employment:

12-month position
Position is not affiliated with any collective bargaining unit.
Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000.
General Description of Benefits:
- Family Medical & Prescription benefits subject to requirements and employee contributions under Chapter 78 or Chapter 44, as applicable, or payment for insurance waiver ($7,500 family, $5,600 h/w, $4,000 parent/child, $2,500 single).
- Enrollment in NJ Teachers’ Pension & Annuity Fund.
