Livingston Public Schools has an immediate opening for a Supervisor of Student Services (7–12). The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight of secondary special education programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations (N.J.A.C. 6A:14) while advancing inclusive practices and supporting instructional excellence. This role includes supervising staff, collaborating with principals and content supervisors, coordinating curriculum for students with disabilities, and serving as the district’s representative in state and legal matters.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements for special education.
Supervising designated staff using the Danielson Framework.
Overseeing student placement, evaluation, and program development.
Leading professional development and supporting instructional programs that meet the needs of all learners.
Collaborating with school leaders, parents, and community stakeholders to strengthen special education services.
Assisting in the hiring and development of special education staff.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
New Jersey certification as Teacher of the Handicapped, Teacher of Students with Disabilities, or Educational Services endorsement (LDT-C, School Psychologist, etc.), plus Supervisory Certification.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful special education experience.
Demonstrated leadership, knowledge of IEP systems, and ability to deliver high-quality professional development.
