QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum 2 years technical theatre experience

2. Minimum BA Degree in Design and Technical Production or equivalent experience

3. Knowledge and skill in organizing and managing facilities for performing arts groups including: staging. lighting, sound engineering

4. Experience in scenic design and construction with emphasis in scenic painting.

5. Skill in organizing, scheduling, planning

6. Skill in oral and written communications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must have a strong background in technical theatre including skills in scenic construction, lighting design, sound engineering.

2. Must be an excellent problem solver and have good communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Coordinates the technical requirements for all events at the center including but not limited to, school productions, professional productions, and meetings.

4. Maintains all stage equipment.

5. Hire, train, and supervise students' production crews.

6. Carry out event stage management for district as well as visiting clients.

7. The position requires applicant to work all Sundays and some Holidays.

8. Other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
