DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

-Provides support with the implementation and integration of the state technology standards and assessments.

-Designs and implements teaching and learning activities, both individually and in collaboration with teachers and staff,

which reflect the best in current research and practice related to Instructional Technology.

-Models the use of instructional technology in K-12 classrooms.

-Creates training/professional development materials.

-Conducts professional development training in technological applications and using technology as a teaching and learning tool.

-Demonstrates and provides instruction for the use and application of technology in the classroom.

-Works in collaboration with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and Technology Department to identify and

support instructional technology tools and resources that align with district curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents.

-Ability to work in a K-12 environment.

-Skill in oral and written communication.

-Coursework and experience in the area of Instructional Technology preferred.

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE:

5 years of teaching experience

Experience working with adult learners preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures,

or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence,

and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program;

ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and ability of students to whom assigned.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents. Skill in oral and written communication.
