Job Summary
Grapeland High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Inclusion Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students. This full-time position requires collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure that students with disabilities are provided with the necessary resources and support to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both inclusive and pull-out settings, focusing on academic, social, and behavioral goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to support individual learning needs.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' strengths and areas for growth.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their self-advocacy and independence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and inclusion.
- Collaborate with school staff, including counselors, psychologists, and other specialists, to create a supportive educational environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEPs, and other required documentation.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students with disabilities, preferably in an inclusion setting.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and implement engaging and differentiated instructional strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.
