Job Summary
Grapeland Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Math Teacher for 4th and 5th grades. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts. This position requires a commitment to student success, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to engage students in meaningful mathematical experiences.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards for 4th and 5th grade mathematics.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and observations, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, promoting respect, collaboration, and a love for mathematics.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to align curriculum and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Support school-wide initiatives and participate in staff meetings and community events.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education, with a focus on mathematics preferred.
- Experience teaching 4th and 5th grade students is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of elementary math curriculum and instructional best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in their learning journey.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
