JOB SUMMARY

This position performs duties under the general supervision of the Treasurer and/or Superintendent. The Finance Accountant / EMIS Coordinator conducts daily operations of accounts payable and/or payroll accounting and receives and responds to financial inquiries and correspondence from clients The EMIS Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating, generating, and submitting educational data through the EMIS system in compliance with the EMIS Guide issued by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma
Three to five years governmental accounting experience preferred
Training or experience in a school finance office preferred
Knowledge of the Education Management Information System
Prior experience with EMIS preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS)
Ability to use technology as both a productivity tool and as a method of communication; proficient in computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Docs)
Ability to maintain enter data accurately and maintain accurate records
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and administrators
Ability to work with team to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate program progress and implement changes
Ability to model ethical principles and democratic ideals for students and the community
