SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAEDUCATOR
(MULTIPLE POSITIONS)

Essential Functions and Qualifications:

Ability to work with students who require special education support with academic, behavioral, social, and physical needs
Ability to support consistent application of individual plans to help ensure students receiving special education support make progress on goals and objectives
Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with students, families, and staff members
Ability to work independently
Ability to learn and adapt to students' special physical, communicative and emotional needs
Familiarity with or willingness to be trained in toileting procedures
Excellent attendance record
Ability to consistently maintain confidentiality
Ability to take accurate data daily to document progress on academic and behavioral goals
High school diploma (with college-level coursework in education preferred)
Knowledge of elementary-level curriculum preferred
Ability to implement academic and behavioral supports under the direction of the special education teacher
Ability to discreetly support student independence in a variety of settings (classroom, hallway, lunchroom, playground, bathroom)
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the principal, which may include recess duty
CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certified or ability to be certified
CPR certified or ability to be certified

Location: Elementary Location
Rate: Support Staff Contract, Paraeducator Classification, Category II
Hours: Monday - Friday, up to 23.5 hours per week
Start Date: August 2025
