Crystal Lake Central High School, within Community High School District 155, has an opening for an Industry and Careers, Wellness Assistant Division Leader beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. A general ADL job description is attached.

Responsibilities:

The District 155 assistant division leader (ADL) is responsible for assisting the division leader with the leadership of teachers, students, and curriculum, focusing on technology use and support.

Requirements:

Illinois General Administrative Certification (Type 75) is preferred but not required
Master’s degree
Successful teaching and leadership experience
Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, administration, and the board of education
Ability to work effectively with technology and data
Ability to work additional summer days

Specific Duties:

Understand, expertly implement, and model quality instructional strategies
Understand, expertly implement, and model quality classroom management
Understand, expertly implement, and model quality assessment
Understand, and expertly implement current content area and pedagogical research
Facilitate understanding of current research with division members
Understand, expertly implement, and model utilization of technology as related to instructional strategies and assessment
Understand various data that impact the division (assessment, enrollment, etc.)
Work with the technology integration specialist to support division members with an understanding of technology and data use
Analyze and summarize data to advise the division leader for division decision-making and facilitation of innovations
Facilitate meetings and committees with division members
Mediate between and among division members and other groups (parents, admin, etc.)
Manage budgetary expenditures for the department, including maintaining inventory and ordering supplies
Advocate for students, division members, and programs
Perform other tasks assigned by the division leader or building principal

Essential Functions of the Job:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, see, hear, and type on a computer or device. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, use stairs, or crouch. In addition, the employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
