Summary
Chatham High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our coaching staff as an Assistant Football Coach specializing in the Offensive Line. This seasonal position will support the Head Coach in developing student-athletes' skills and understanding of the game, with a specific focus on offensive line techniques and strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong football background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring young athletes.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing offensive line training programs and strategies.
Conduct individual and group drills to enhance player skills in blocking techniques, footwork, and overall offensive line play.
Analyze game footage to identify areas for improvement and develop game plans tailored to the strengths of the offensive line.
Provide instruction and feedback to players during practices and games, fostering a positive and competitive learning environment.
Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure cohesive offensive strategies and effective communication among players.
Monitor player progress and provide ongoing evaluations to help athletes reach their full potential.
Ensure compliance with all school policies and regulations, as well as state and national governing body rules.
Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the football program.
Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and coaching clinics as required.

Requirements

Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, preferably with a focus on offensive line play.
Strong understanding of football fundamentals, strategies, and techniques, particularly related to the offensive line.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, players, and school administration.
Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
Availability for practices, games, and team events during the football season.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
A background check will be required prior to hiring.

Salary: $6,214.80

This is not a benefits eligible position.
