Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor of Mathematics for our K-12 district. This full-time position requires a passionate leader who will oversee the mathematics curriculum and instruction across all grade levels. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and stakeholders to enhance student learning outcomes and foster a love for mathematics in all students.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate the K-12 mathematics curriculum to ensure alignment with state and national standards.
Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers in the effective delivery of mathematics instruction.
Organize and facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions for mathematics educators.
Monitor and assess student achievement data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance student performance.
Collaborate with school administrators to develop and implement school improvement plans related to mathematics education.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation in mathematics.
Serve as a resource for teachers, providing guidance on best practices, instructional strategies, and assessment tools.
Communicate regularly with parents, community members, and stakeholders about mathematics programs and student progress.
Stay current with educational research, trends, and innovations in mathematics education and integrate findings into district practices.
Participate in district leadership meetings and contribute to the overall vision and mission of the district.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Mathematics Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification in mathematics for K-12 education.
Valid Supervisor Certificate or Standard Principal
Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in mathematics at the K-12 level.
Previous experience in a leadership role, such as a department chair, instructional coach, or administrator, is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional practices and decision-making.
Commitment to equity and inclusion in mathematics education.
Proficiency in using technology and educational software to support teaching and learning.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, families, and educators.
Ability to work 15 additional contract days outside of the academic primarily during the months of July and August (10-month, 15-day assignment)

Salary: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00
