Summary
Chatham High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join our faculty as a Teacher of Business on a tenure track basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in business education. This full-time position offers the opportunity to inspire and prepare students for success in the business world while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
Teach a variety of business-related subjects, including but not limited to accounting, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.
Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Stay current with industry trends and educational best practices to enhance the curriculum and instructional strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate business concepts across the curriculum.
Participate in school events, committees, and professional development opportunities to contribute to the overall success of the school community.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and support student learning.
Mentor and guide students in their academic and career aspirations, providing resources and advice for future opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Business Administration, or a related field
Valid NJ teaching certification in Comprehensive Business Education
Proven experience in teaching business subjects at the high school level.
Strong knowledge of current business practices and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
A passion for inspiring and empowering students to achieve their academic and career goals.
