Summary
Chatham Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our educational team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to inspire and engage students in their mathematical learning journey. Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school curriculum.
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall learning experience.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic performance and behavioral concerns.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices and trends.
Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed.
Contribute to the school community through involvement in committees, events, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school education.
Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level.
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
