Summary
Chatham Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Leave Replacement 5th Grade Teacher. This full-time position requires an individual who is committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students. Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and state standards.
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and observations.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational community.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Manage classroom behavior and implement appropriate disciplinary measures as needed.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Support students’ social and emotional development, promoting a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
Math/Science background, preferred.
Previous teaching experience, preferably in a 5th-grade setting.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
