The following position is available at Bath Community Schools:

POSITION: CUSTODIAL POSITION

TIME REQUIRED: FULL TIME (hours to be determined)

Looking to fill position immediately

$14.40 per hour probationary rate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Custodial personnel keep the District's school buildings in a state of operating excellence that present no problems or interruptions to the educational program.
Custodial personnel are responsible for the care and cleaning of all district facilities, equipment, and supplies assigned to him/her. Provides the Lead Custodian with inventory usage and restocking needs of disposable items.
Custodial staff is expected to follow their written work schedules.
Assists the visiting public utilizing the facilities with directions within building and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintains building and grounds security.
Must maintain a good record regarding dependability, work, cooperation and safety.
Must have a working knowledge of all types of tools and equipment as well as, the occupational hazards and safety precautions related to the trade.
Have the ability to accurately keep records of work completed.
Must have valid Michigan Driver’s License (CDL endorsement preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have the ability/skills for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities as established by the building principal. Experience in custodial work in a school district, hospital or other similar institution preferred. Must be able to relate to and communicate with students, staff, parents, and other professionals.
