Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the Food Service Server Supervisor Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. $15.95- $17.23 per hour/Minimum Pay

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Graduate, or equivalent.
One (1) year job-related experience, with some supervisory experience preferred.
Current/Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
Knowledge of standardized recipes, sanitation, inventory, ordering, cost control and merchandising.
Experience in customer service.
Knowledge of commercial food preparation equipment preferred.
Knowledge of kitchen safety requirements according to OSHA.
Effective communication skills and ability to take and give direction.
Supervision and coordination of employees.
Knowledge of food safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
Ability to read, write and speak in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
Physical strength and coordination to operate the kitchen equipment and to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to maintain control under pressure; environment is fast-paced with structured timelines, and collaborative.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Possess adequate vision and hearing.
Ability to perform light lifting and moving of product (up to 50lbs).

DUTIES:

Assists with the daily preparation of school meals, including hot and cold food, setting up and all other functions and phases associated with food preparation.
Maintains daily sanitation practices in the food preparation and serving areas and the dish room.
Assists with the serving of daily meals as assigned.
Acts as Kitchen Supervisor in their absence.
Supervise and train food servers.
Assist with recordkeeping and other administrative responsibilities.
Monitors the areas for needed refill and changes/resupply.
Present a professional appearance personally and in the work area.
Demonstrate reliability in all work situations.
Promote and maintain positive working relationships with peers, students, parents and the public.
Ability to keep required school and food service related business confidential.
Ability to work early morning hours.
Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Familiarity with computers and/or automated point of sale systems.
Other duties as assigned .

Skills, Knowledge, Equipment & Other: Strong language and communication skills. Basic knowledge of kitchen, food preparation equipment and systems including, but not limited to, steamers, ovens, mixers, warmers, serving lines and other commercial equipment. Ability to supervise others. Ability to work in person.

Technology related to the assignment, typical point of sales machines and electronic recordkeeping.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; feel or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, waist to overhead, waist to floor and overhead to floor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work in a school setting. Travel from site to site may occasionally; be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; indoor kitchen conditions. The noise level in the work environment ranges is generally quiet with occasional increase when working events or with equipment. Must be able to work in person.

Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to analyze and compute. Frequently required to compare, communicate, coordinate, and use interpersonal skills to provide service.
