One-on-One Paraprofessional

Part-time position: hours to be determined by building principal.
School year position. Student Days: Approximately August to June.
The primary function of the 1-on-1 Paraprofessional is to support students with learning and/or behavioral needs within the classroom.
Open position at Olivet Middle School

Qualifications:

Must possess an Associates (or higher) degree, or have two years of college (60 credits), or have successfully passed the ETS Paraprofessional exam.
Must possess a friendly, positive attitude.
Excellent work performance, dependability, and confidentiality are required.
Self-motivated, positive, team-oriented individual willing to work with students and staff.
Ability to pass a criminal background and unprofessional conduct background checks.

Skills & Position Requirements

Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
Provide in-classroom one on one or small group instructional support
Observe and document student progress as directed
Communicate student progress with classroom teachers
Act as a representative of the district when greeting and dealing with parents, community members, vendors, students, and employees.
Regular dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure high quality customer service.
Other responsibilities as needed.
