Summary
Earl Harris Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part Time Playground Monitor. The hours are 10:45-1:30 daily. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during outdoor playtime. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging environment, promoting healthy interactions among students while ensuring compliance with school policies.

Responsibilities
- Supervise students during recess and outdoor playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Monitor student behavior, intervening when necessary to prevent conflicts and promote positive interactions.
- Encourage students to engage in various physical activities and games, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
- Report any incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to school administration promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe playground environment by picking up litter and ensuring equipment is in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding any concerns or observations.
- Assist in implementing playground rules and procedures, ensuring all students understand and follow them.
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating respect, kindness, and responsibility at all times.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school or recreational setting, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations and manage conflicts effectively.
- Basic understanding of child development and the importance of play in children's growth.
- Must pass a background check and adhere to school safety protocols.
- Availability to work during school hours, including recess periods, on weekdays.
- A genuine passion for working with children and promoting a safe, inclusive playground environment.
