Adult Basic Literacy Assistant - Student Support
Location: Adult Education Center - Blaine Learning Lab, 1201 89th Ave NE, Suite 3100, Blaine, MN 55434

Part-Time: 12 months/212 days/25 hours a week
Schedule: Monday through Friday days; 8:30am-1:30pm, with a minimum of 3 evenings (3:30pm-8:30pm) a month–typically falling on a Tues/Thurs–with an adjusted schedule to accommodate time change.

Duties: Provide classroom support and general program and staff support to include direct student contact in-person and online, record keeping, assessments, orientations, and student support activities. Collaborate with the team. Work independently. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and organizational skills. Computer skills and data entry experience. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be flexible and function well in a busy environment. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices, materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an ABE academic program with adults preferred. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Experience working in an academic, workforce, or school setting is preferred.

Rate of pay: $18.91-$25.55/hr
