About Waverly High School:

Waverly Junior High and High School, located in Coffey County, Kansas, serves around 90 students and is committed to fostering both academic and personal growth. With a strong emphasis on developing well-rounded individuals, Waverly provides a comprehensive physical education program, competitive sports for students in grades 6-12, and a variety of extracurricular activities, including FCCLA, FCA, and FBLA. Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and highly qualified Business/Computer Science instructor to join our dedicated team at Waverly Junior High/High School.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop an engaging and rigorous Business curriculum that meets state standards and supports diverse learners.
Lead our growing and excelling JH and HS FBLA Programs.
Create a dynamic classroom that fosters engagement, critical thinking, and literary appreciation.
Collaborate with the secondary MTSS team to support student success and address the learning needs of all students.
Evaluate student progress, give feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of our students.
Participate in professional development opportunities and stay up to date on best practices in Business instruction and teaching techniques.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Education or a related field.
Valid Kansas teaching certification in Business for grades 6-12.
Preferred experience in teaching Business at the secondary level.
