Summary
Schoolcraft Elementary is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lunch/Recess Supervisor for the 2025/2026 school year. This part-time position (roughly 10:45-1:30) is essential in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment for our elementary students during lunch and recess. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive school culture.

Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lunch and recess to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among students.
- Assist students with their lunch routines, including opening containers and managing waste.
- Encourage students to engage in constructive play and activities during recess.
- Monitor the lunchroom and playground for any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as necessary.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student behavior and safety.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate school personnel.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience working with children preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and foster a supportive environment for students.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Must pass background checks as required by school district policies.
- Availability to work during lunch and recess hours, as determined by the school schedule.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus, but not required at the time of application.
