The Performing Arts Center Technician provides essential technical and backstage support for events hosted at the Performing Arts Center. This is an as-needed, on-call position with variable hours depending on event scheduling. It’s ideal for individuals who are flexible, dependable, and enthusiastic about live events and technical production.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate basic sound equipment during live events and performances
Set up microphones and audio equipment for presenters
Run projector and related A/V equipment for select events
Assist with backstage organization, inventory management, and cleanup
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment
Ensure punctual, regular, and consistent attendance for all assigned shifts

Schedule & Compensation:

Hours: As-needed; varies week-to-week depending on scheduled events
Breaks: Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break during longer shifts
Availability: Must be available for evening and weekend shifts

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of sound and A/V equipment preferred
Reliability and ability to follow directions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
