Swartz Creek Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Wrestling Head Coach to lead and grow a competitive, student-centered wrestling program. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about mentoring student-athletes, promoting academic excellence, and building a positive team culture grounded in discipline, sportsmanship, and community pride.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Prior coaching experience in wrestling; head or assistant level preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of wrestling techniques, training, and safety.
Must fulfill all MHSAA coaching requirements, including:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Concussion Awareness Training
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
Successful completion of all district-required background checks and fingerprinting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the varsity wrestling program.
Lead practices, develop athletes, and manage competitions.
Promote a positive team environment and academic accountability.
Collaborate with athletic staff, supervise assistant coaches, and communicate effectively with parents and the school community.
Ensure compliance with MHSAA and district policies.
