Qualifications:
- State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Board of Speech Pathology: Speech Pathology License
- Must have Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC’s) through American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Punctual, regular & consistent attendance is required
- Must possess knowledge and experience in working with IEPs and IEP process
- Must possess the ability to meet the individual needs of students
- Must possess knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of performance assessments
- Must possess a compassionate and patient approach to working with students
- Must possess strong communication and collaboration skills working with students parents, and colleagues
Essential Functions:

- Facilitates effective planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of speech/language services
- Maintains open/effective communications. Uses problem-solving techniques to tactfully address questions/concerns
- Upholds board policies and follows administrative guidelines/procedures. Refers district policy interpretation inquiries to administrators
- Consults with district staff to identify ongoing/emerging speech/language needs of students
- Monitors education laws, rules, and regulations.
- Facilitates compliance with legal mandates
