Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Assistant to join our team at Orange Elementary. The ideal candidate will support classroom instruction and foster a positive learning environment for students. This full-time position requires a passion for education, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons and activities.
- Support individual and small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as grading assignments and maintaining student records.
- Support the inclusion of students with diverse learning needs and abilities.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and educational technology.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and learning styles.
- Must pass background checks and any required health screenings.
