The TTRT (Testing & Technology Resource Teacher) will assist teachers with the integration of technology in the classroom, train teachers to use technology in an effective manner, assist with curriculum development as it relates to educational technology, and facilitate the administration of Standards of Learning (SOL) testing in the TTRT’s assigned school. The TTRT will also assist in the collection, manipulation, analysis, and reporting of student performance data, both at the school and division level.

Summary: The TTRT is responsible for modeling effective instructional strategies with students, promoting the effective use of instructional technology, and facilitating the analysis of student performance data. The TTRT will provide training and professional development in those areas to all staff members. The role of the Site Testing Coordinator (STC) will be performed by the TTRT for the assigned building.

Duties: • Assists building administrators and teachers with the collection, manipulation, and analysis of student assessment and demographic data; • Works with teachers to implement frequent, informal classroom formative assessments for the purpose of gauging student learning; • Provides instructional technology training opportunities throughout the school year for teachers and staff; • Provides assistance and support to teachers with regard to the onTRAC online benchmarking system, and the TRACbook Longitudinal Data System; • Provides support for teachers in using PowerTeacher Gradebook; • Works with teachers regarding different technology certifications and programs (TCIP, NETS*T, ITSA); • Maintains TTRT website, which serves as a warehouse of instructional resources for teachers; • Serves as liaison with the division technology staff to facilitate repairs to instructional technology equipment; • Uses student information system (PowerSchool) to query student data and create reports; • Attends periodic STC meetings to coordinate the planning and administration of SOL tests in the assigned building; • Receives, manages, and collects all SOL testing materials for the assigned building; • Uses the PEMS System to create and manage all online SOL testing sessions for the assigned building; • Adhere to all state policy regarding the reporting of security breaches and/or infractions; • Assure the security of all secure testing documents; • Adhere to all established timelines; • Assure the accurate completion of all testing documents; • Assure that students with disabilities take the correct tests (LAA 1, LAA 2, etc.) with appropriate testing accommodations; • Assure that appropriate testing environments are maintained; • Train building level staff in test security and administration; assure implementation of security and administration procedures; • Maintain school level records and documents for all statewide testing; • Communicate and coordinate with school administration related to all STC functions; • Work with the data managers and school counselors as enrollment changes to maintain an accurate and complete file of test histories and counts of students in each testing program; • Coordinate with school counselors the administration of NAEP and ASVAB; • Assist with school wide assessments as assigned by the district and/or school administration; • Provide information to the District Test Coordinator as required to complete state reports; and • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; • Proficient in the use of Microsoft’s Office Suite and other software; • Possess basic hardware troubleshooting skills; • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively both orally and in writing; • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher; and • Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license.
