Education Required: College Degree and Indiana Teaching License preferred.

Previous Experience Required: Experience coaching at the High School Level with Varsity High School coaching experience preferred. Experience playing at the High School or college level Basketball. Highly Effective Leadership, Organizational, and Communication skills required. Ability to work well with students, staff members, and community. Experience and knowledge of strength and conditioning programs.

General Description of Position Duties: Able to build personal and professional relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, players and parents. Prepares, plans, responsible and well organized. Dedicated and concerned about Basketball equipment, safety, sharing of athletes, academic progress and participation numbers. Encourages player development at the high school, middle school and youth league level. Provides proper instruction, teaching skills and strategies. Understands financial and budgeting process. Has technology skills and/or willing to learn to navigate Hudl, Max Preps, Final forms and Event Link software programs. Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of coaching and practicing rules and policies governed by the NFHS and IHSAA. Positive role model and motivator.

Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: CPR Certified Preferred. Will need to meet IHSAA Coaching Certification Requirements by completing the following NFHS online courses: Concussion, Heat Index Safety, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Protecting Students from Abuse, and Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Will also need to meet LCSC required Course Certification; Child Abuse, Mandatory Reporting & Bullying, Recognition and Response, Gang Awareness, and Tile IX.
