2. Position Title: Head Varsity Boys Golf Coach

3. Education Required: College Degree, and Indiana teaching license preferred but not required.

4. Previous Experience Required: Coaching or Playing at High School Level preferred. Experience running High School or College level Golf Program. Experience and knowledge of the game and NFHS, PGA, and IHSAA rules, procedures and policies preferred. Have an understanding of Indiana golf courses.

5. General Description of Position Duties: Able to build personal and professional relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, players and parents. Prepares, plans, is responsible and well organized. Dedicated and concerned about equipment, safety, sharing of athletes, academic progress and participation numbers. Encourages athlete development at the high school, middle school and youth level. Provides proper instruction, teaching skills, sportsmanship skills and strategies. Understands financial and budgeting process. Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of coaching and practicing rules and policies governed by the IHSAA, NFHS and PGA. Positive role model and motivator. Able to assist in building team schedule and golf course management.

6. Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: CPR Certified Preferred. Complete following NFHS online courses: Concussion, Heat Index Safety, Protecting Students from Abuse, Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Will need to meet LCSC certification requirements which includes completing the following Safe School online courses: Blood Pathogen, Child Abuse: Mandatory Reporting & Recognition and Response, Bullying; Recognition & Response, Title IX, and Gang Awareness.
