About The Role
Under the direct supervision of the administrator and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Ingham Intermediate School District, the Teacher Consultant, Wilson Talent Center will provide direct and consultative services for students with disabilities enrolled in Career and Technical Education programs to facilitate the student's success. Provides behavioral/instructional support and/or consultative services to CTE instructors and students with disabilities to implement relevant components of each student’s Individualized Educational Program while at the Wilson Talent Center. Maintains service documentation for all students with disabilities being served in accordance with Ingham Intermediate School District's policies and procedures. Represents the Wilson Talent Center at Individualized Educational Planning team meetings in local districts as needed and makes recommendations concerning supports needed and/or available through the Wilson Talent Center.
About You
Approval by the Michigan Department of Education as a teacher consultant with a valid teaching certificate with special education endorsement or eligible for approval. Master's Degree in education or a field of study related to special education and 3 to 5 years of successful teaching experience, not less than two years of which is teaching in a special education classroom. Secondary level experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of instructional strategies, transition services, and experience implementing various accommodations for students with disabilities.
