Summary
Filer High School is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to lead our football program as the Head Football Coach. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the game, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This role involves not only coaching and developing players but also engaging with the school community, parents, and alumni to promote the football program. Possibility of a teaching position dependent upon openings/certifications.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive football program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Plan and conduct daily practices, game strategies, and conditioning sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of athletes, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Collaborate with assistant coaches to ensure effective communication and team cohesion.
- Organize and oversee team meetings, player evaluations, and recruitment efforts.
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Foster relationships with parents, school administration, and community members to promote support for the program.
- Manage the team's budget, including equipment purchases and fundraising efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all school and district policies, as well as state and national athletic regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with coaching techniques and trends in the sport.

Requirements
- Education background in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of football strategies, rules, and player development techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and the community.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or the willingness to obtain certification.
- A commitment to the academic success and personal development of student-athletes.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for practices and games.
