· $62,523.27 - $118,446.05

Job Description:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Qualified applicants must have strong skills in the area of standards-based planning, instructional best practices, and intentional use of assessments. Applicants must be eager to work cooperatively with both content area and grade level teams.
Required Qualifications:
· Valid Washington State teaching certificate for grades 6-8
· WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
· Student teaching or contracted teaching experience in a secondary setting
· Knowledge and ability to use a variety of techniques to teach students with differing learning styles
· Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
· Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parent/guardians, and community
Reports to: Building Administrator
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching & Learning - Deeply understand the Washington ELA and Social Studies Standards and establish clear learning targets for every lesson. Build rigorous and aligned assessments and consistently engage students with ELA and Social Studies practices.

· Interest and/or experience in Middle School ELA and Social Studies
