Benefits Include:

·         I-1433 Sick Leave, the employee will accrue at least one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every forty (40) hours worked.

Overview

The position of Building Unified Advisor leads the implementation of Unified Champion Schools' three components: Inclusive Sports, Inclusive Youth Leadership, and Whole School Engagement for their building. Specifically, this position will manage program activities, maintain records, build relationships with staff and families, and report progress to the District Unified Advisor. The Advisor also attends monthly Unified Leadership meetings and performs administrative tasks to support a more inclusive school culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         High School diploma or GED

·         Must be at least 21 years or older

·         WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)

Examples of Duties:

  • Be responsible for fulfilling requirements of the three core components of Unified Champion Schools: Inclusive Sports, Inclusive Youth Leadership, and Whole School Engagement.
  • Help develop and implement what these programs will look like at their building.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly Unified Leadership meetings.
  • Cultivate relationships with staff, families, and participants to promote and develop Unified Schools widely and deeply within the school building.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records for athletes, partners, and coaches.
  • Fulfill administrative duties to support the overall success of Unified Schools and its components.
  • Report to the District Unified Advisor on the progress and implementation of programs.
  • Be responsible for fulfilling requirements of the three core components of Unified Champion Schools: Inclusive Sports, Inclusive Youth Leadership, and Whole School Engagement.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
