POSITION: Art Club Advisor

LOCATION: Beach Middle School

WORK YEAR: Full School Year

REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal or designee

SUPERVISES: Art Club Students

POSTING DATE: May 13, 2025

CLOSING DATE: May 20, 2025

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Art Club will be made available for all students grades 6-8 and start at the beginning of the second semester in January. It will meet for 1-½ hours, once a week from 3:05 to 4:30 until the end of May.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Club advisor will be in charge of student members during this time slot. Advisor will also provide art supplies and instructional lessons/help with art related activities. A cap of 30 students is recommended.
Communicate with administration regarding space usage, art shows, etc.
Manage supplies used with the art club. Storage for materials may not be available

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS REQUIRED:

Have an Art background that may include certification in Art Education.
Manage students in a productive and safe manner.
Communicate with administration, teachers, parents, and students effectively.
