Rate of Pay: $100,776 - $120,397

Qualifications:

● Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Related Area

● Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

● Minimum five (5) years teaching experience

● Hold or ability to obtain administrative certification

● Strong Secondary Curriculum Knowledge

● Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

● Successful Use of Student Data to Improve Student Learning

● Strong Knowledge and Experience in School Improvement Processes, Best Practices in Instruction and Assessment, and Effective Professional Development Programming

● Ability to Lead Faculty, Staff, and Students through Implementation of Curricular and Programmatic Objectives

● Ability to Evaluate Teacher Performance and Program Effectiveness

● Demonstrates an Understanding of State and Federal Guidelines

● Knowledgeable about Special Education Rules and Regulations

● Knowledgeable about the Role of Support Staff in the Educational Process

● Knowledgeable of the Revised School Code and Legal Standards for Schools

● Willing to Explore or Introduce New and Innovative Educational Strategies/Programs as they relate to the Curriculum and 21st Century Learning

● Familiar with Career and Technical Education Programming

● Good Work Ethic and High Standards for Work Performance

Job Responsibilities

Academic Programs & Assessment

· Coordinate state-mandated testing including PSAT, SAT, WorkKeys, and MSTEP (fall and spring administration).

· Manage the Testing Out process for eligible students.

· Participate actively on the District Data Team to analyze and act on student performance data.

Student Support & Services

· Serve on the Student Services Team to support student academic and emotional needs.

· Oversee student discipline and implement restorative practices to support a positive school culture.

· Support IEP meetings and ensure accommodations and services are effectively delivered.

· Supervise, schedule, and lead regular meetings for paraprofessionals.

· Plan and lead student celebration ceremonies and/or monthly recognition.

Student Engagement & Events

· Coordinate student activities and promote student engagement opportunities throughout the school year.

· Plan and lead transition activities.

· Serve as an administrative representative on an assigned Booster organization(s).

· Participate in SEAB (Sex Education Advisory Board) to help promote and foster a supportive and inclusive school environment.

School Operations & Safety

· Plan and supervise emergency drills in compliance with district and state safety protocols in coordination with the director of safety and security.

Staff Collaboration & Support

· Provide ongoing support and coaching to staff as needed.

· Observe and evaluate staff.
