As a Middle School Mathematics/ELA Teacher:

You will play a critical role in student success. We want you to build an exciting classroom environment while maintaining a rigorous learning focused curriculum. Your classroom will be a place where students learn and develop competency in Mathematics/ELA and feel prepared for life beyond the walls of our schools.

This position requires a valid Michigan (elementary/secondary) teaching certificate. We will work with individuals that do not possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate but have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/ELA or related field for certification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate

· EX and BA Certification required and another core area certificate strongly preferred

· Able to plan effective, engaging lessons and use data to plan and adjust instruction

· Computer applications knowledge and proficiency necessary

· Ability to interact positively with and motivate students

· Must demonstrate strong work ethic, organizational skills, and classroom management skills

· Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes

· Strong belief that all students can become proficient readers and writers

· Willing to accept responsibility for student learning and progress

· Willingness to teach a lesson as part of the interview process

STARTING DATE: Start of the 2025-2026 school year

SALARY: In accordance with PEA Agreement
