 As a High School Social Studies Teacher:

 This position requires a valid Michigan (secondary) teaching certificate.  We will work with individuals that do not possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate but have a Bachelor’s Degree in social studies or a related field for certification.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate: RX certification required.  Multiple certifications/endorsements preferred, but not required.

·         Strong belief that all students can and will be successful

·         Strong knowledge of curriculum content

·         Able to plan effective, engaging lessons and use data to plan and adjust instruction

·         Ability to interact positively and motivate students

·         Able to work with colleagues to improve student outcomes

·         Willing to accept responsibility for student learning

·         Willingness to teach a lesson to students as part of the interview process
