SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH/SUBSTANCE USE PREVENTION & INTERVENTION SPECIALIST

PROJECT AWARE GRANT - (NON-UNION)

3 POSITIONS AVAILABLE

260 DAYS PER YR/8 HRS PER DAY

5 YRS ONLY (DEPENDING ON FUNDING)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Human Services, Social Work or related field. – Required
Demonstrated experience providing behavioral health screening, assessment, education or intervention to children or adolescents is required. Working knowledge of suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis response protocols is required.
Valid Washington driver’s license and evidence of insurability for required District business driving are required.
Experience in a K–12 setting and with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).
Training in SBIRT, C-SSRS, or Youth Mental Health First Aid.
Experience with trauma-informed practice and youth exposed to community violence.
Must be able to pass a background/fingerprint
Ability to communicate effectively with students and families in Spanish. – Preferred

RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS

Yearly Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
